The book is about a girl called Lorraine ad a boy called John that are the main characters of the story, they decide to narrate every estrange event that happen since they met an old man, Angelo Pignati a lonely men that found in this two kids a very similar life even they are kids and he an old man. The main conflict of the story is, how the two kids have a bad relationship with there parents, specially John tell he does not have a family. During the book both of the characters find in Mr.pignati a real family, as well as him, so we can see that at the end of the book this two kids care a lot of this old man.
First, I like the book because is a book wre you could find two different perspectives of what the book is explaining. One chapter is tell by John a aggressive boy to tell things and the other chapter by a girl Lorraine that is more compassion and have a easier vocabulary. The part I like most of the story is that the author have a very interesting way of telling the story, by having the reader with intrigue at the end of the halter, so you can continue reading. Finally I would recommend this book to persons like this age that like non-fiction books and like when two people tell the story.
